About IPI
Since 2006
In Service to Children, Families, Schools, Communities
As a 501(c)(3) parenting education and human services organization, Indiana Parenting Institute, Inc. (IPI) is committed to providing services to families challenged by the complexities of raising children from Birth2Eighteen. Our focus is on empowering families to make the best decisions for their family's long-term welfare.
TM
We offer a wealth of parenting skills and family resources that engage, educate, and inspire the highest achievements in children and their families across generations. By strengthening the parent-child-family relationship through education, training, and resources, we are helping children of all ages reach their full potential, ensuring healthy, stable living conditions for future generations.
Our team of certified professionals is passionate about mentoring caregivers as they navigate the complex world of parenting. We are diligent in creating safe and nurturing environments for our families to learn, connect, and grow.
The brilliance we observe in children’s innocence, interest to learn, and worldview is what inspires us.
We are on a mission to positively create generational change.
Children and their families are our most important priority.
So much so, in fact, that in 2010, IPI’s founder, Laura Wynn, developed an evidence-informed program model – Parenting|Birth2Eighteen (B2E) – so the organization could relevantly address the specific needs of those parents and caregivers it served who were being significantly challenged by the complexities of raising children today.
Our History
IPI's responsiveness and versatility in adapting to changing times and family needs has enabled it to connect with and help parents throughout Indiana since 2006.
Founded as From-the-Heart Parenting, a training and resource center for parents, IPI has evolved to also include community and family advocacy and advisory services, having served as a thought partner with the state of Indiana in addressing several of today's family issues.
Currently, our parents not only learn about parenting but also about self-advocacy, self-efficacy, and self-development. For it's a parent's possession of these skills that truly helps prevent and eradicate child abuse and neglect.
Enlightening parents to their role and rights within their community turns them into advocates for improved education, citizenship, and leadership. Even to advocate for their community's support of effective and responsible parenting, which scientific research shows protects the wellbeing of children and creates safe, healthy, and caring environments where children and families can thrive.
Our Mission
To strengthen the parenting and family management skills of people raising children ages Birth2Eighteen, creating a better environment for children, families, and communities to thrive.
