The Responsible Parenting Campaign celebrates people raising children and calls attention to the need for effective and responsible parenting to keep children safe and raise them to achieve their maximum potential.
Effective and responsible parenting of children is reported to be one of the most critical mental and public health issues facing our society. Modern Parenting remains the single most significant dominating factor in preventing childhood behaviors leading to teenage pregnancy and substance misuse; truancy, school disruption, underachievement; child abuse; unemployment; juvenile crime; and mental health issues.

Parents require new|modern parenting skills for a new generation of children. Equipping parents with these new skills is the focus of Indiana Parenting Institute parent education and family management programs.
Parents, as a child's first and most important teachers, can, as a result of effective parenting, set the foundation for their child's long-term success as a responsible and productive citizen of society.
